Description: Dr. Mora describes atherosclerotic cardiovascular events that occur despite low or normal LDL-cholesterol, explains the relevant additional cardiovascular risk information obtained from lipoprotein subfractions measured with the ion mobility test beyond what is obtained from the standard lipid test and discusses relevant findings from the JUPITER clinical trial.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

• Describe atherosclerotic cardiovascular events that occur despite low or normal LDL-cholesterol
• Explain the relevant additional cardiovascular risk information obtained from lipoprotein subfractions measured with the ion mobility test beyond what is obtained from the standard lipid test
• Evaluate the effects of statin therapy on lipoprotein subfractions, highlighting relevant findings from the JUPITER clinical trial
