Description: Dr. Martin will explain the limitations of Friedewald-estimated LDL cholesterol and identify patients in whom it is less accurate, and to be able to recognize a more accurate, validated approach to estimation of LDL cholesterol made possible through big data and apply LDL-C in daily clinical practice using evidence-based, guideline-recommended strategies for effective evaluation and management. He also presents case studies illustrating the calculation’s impact on patient care.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
