Description: Dr. Lustig reviews the history of understanding the genetics of hearing loss, including review of the anatomy of the ear, explains how the genetics of hearing loss have led to a better understanding of how we hear, describes examples of classes of mutations and their impact on hearing and how next generation sequencing is used to diagnose the genetic etiology of hearing loss.
