COVID-19 antibody testing plays a critical role in the public health response to this pandemic, including helping to determine prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in the community or population of interest; providing information to assist in surveillance program efforts and implement disease mitigation; and it can be used to determine the potential level of herd/shield immunity.

During this presentation the presenters will discuss commercial lab and public health collaborations, including current COVID-19 initiatives, explain the basis for serology tests for COVID-19 and recommendations for use, describe the utility of antibody testing in seroprevalence surveillance and containment and how adoption of antibody testing in combination with molecular testing can help to enable the public to return to life and work.
